Evening dress, 1961-1963
The skirt is shorter at the front. This is a remnant of the 1950s fashion, when the evening dresses were sometimes short. It was acceptable to wear a short dress to an evening dress event during both the 1920s and the 1950s.

Dress in white silk rep with a low-cut back. This dress was worn over a starched petticoat. The dress was made by Ingrid Hegnelius in Malmö in the early 1960s.
